Okay - I'm upset. We're watching a movie in my Legal and Ethical Environment of Business class and it is so twisted in terms of moral and ethical behavior that I am experiencing physical duress because of it. I'm working really hard to keep my breathing calm and not to freak out, but I'm feeling a serious level of anxiety because of this stupid movie. (I was probably the only student in the class with my face in my hands cringing at the story content and language.) I noticed that since I've stopped watching movies, they now have a much larger impact upon me. I really hope I shake this feeling and that I don't let it ruin my day. o(>.<)o Oh dear... Save me! Somebody, anybody! I wish I'd never seen any part of this movie. It's emotionally torturous to watch. We'll, at least I know that I don't enjoy movies as I once did. It seems my own moral barometer can only handle so much, even if it's in movie form and not a part of "reality." Well, that's something. OK, breath. In, and out. In, and out. I'll be in touch... ;D

My name is Sara Phillips, and I'm obsessed with making dolls and avatars on the Internet. Although I'm attending this meeting of DMA, doll makers anonymous, I don't really want to be rehabilitated. I'm having the time of my life procrastinating from my college work and creating these dolls, although the stress related to falling so far behind with my homework is a bit daunting.

The Fruits of My Labor
Okay, I'm exhausted, tired, sleeping on my feet - all because of homework, which I worked on all day! But, thank G-d, here is the fruit of my labor. I didn't get anything else done, but this was really the most pressing thing. OK, now let's see if I can't get to be before 1:30am. Oh, and I hope you're enjoying all the avatars, dolls, or whatever those things are called.
Oh, and just for you Sarah Rutti, I will post one last cute picture that I created. (The fairy seemed like an appropriate choice. She's smiling at you and saying, "Hi Sarah Rutti! Be happy, because I'm sure you'll do great on your geography test." Then she winks and whispers, "I'll visit your teacher the night before the test hit him on the head with my wand, and send him subliminal messages that he should give Sarah R. a 95%. See, that's high enough for an A, but he wont be suspicious because it's not a 100%. Brilliant don't you think?" Then she smiles at you and flies away to start a stake out on your geography teacher.)

If I were a princess...
Oh! These were so much fun to make. But don't ask me to choose a favorite, my opinion seems to change by the moment. I love them all! (Not to mention I have like 20 more on my computer.) Ah! I just can't get enough... It's weird what you enjoy doing when youre under a lot of pressure from school and you barely have time to breathe. Oh well, who can fathom the mind of college students anyways?
It's a miracle!
Yes... that's right folks; this is what arrived in the mail on Friday night around 6:00pm. My beloved new heater. Now, since it arrived on the Sabbath, and since no one was upstairs to receive it, it ended up sitting on the front steps for about 24hrs until the Sabbath ended. Can you imagine? It was a real miracle that no one stole it. I mean I am living in Brooklyn, New York. And now, yes, now it is heating up my bedroom nicely- or at least I'm not freezing anymore, and that's a good thing in my opinion. So, it's around 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius)on the warm side of my room, and it's averaging 64 DF (18 DC) on the cold side of my room. Now, that might sound chilly, but it's really much better than it was.
Well, I just wanted to share my new found warmth(:D), and, on that note, I shall go to bed. As usual, I have and extra ton of homework, and unfortunately, some of it is due on Monday. Wish me luck!

"Mystery" Explained
For those of you who have heard me say that I am cold, now you know why. This is a picture of a travel clock that I have in my apartment. Can you see the reading in the top right hand corner? Yes, it says 61.5 degrees Fahrenheit (18.3 degrees Celsius). The other side of my bedroom is about 3-5 degrees warmer, and that's still cold. So, sorry to gripe, but I don't do it often, and I happen to be dressed in layers with a huge scarf around me neck, but my hands, legs, and feet are still chilled. OK, enough of that, but I did want to share. :D Have a good one!

The Template Game
Well, I wish I could tell you that the reason for changing my blog template, yet again, was that I've got the bug for change and I just can't stop myself, but that would be dishonest. In truth, my tic-tac template got messed up somehow, and so, I felt it necessary to try yet another template. Google really needs to get their act together in my opinion. But hey, this set-up works for me too. Why? Because I'm being flexible. Did we ever discuss the importance of flexibility?
No, well now is the ideal time, except that I have homework to do, so, we'll put it to a vote. If you would like me to confabulate*, that is discuss, the importance of flexibility, and all the different areas of life that flexibility touches, vote yae. If you think my time is better spent on a different subject vote nay.

Yes, folks it seems a crisis involving old soup and a toilet has resolved itself in Brooklyn this morning. Many thanks to the individuals who attempted to offer advice, but in the end, a plunger did the trick. (And G-d willing I will never do that again [bli neder]).
OK, I hope to update again later, but I have class in 20 minutes and this computer isn't working so well. So then - "Now we'll go to Johnny for a report on the weather..."

Perspective
Of course, this is not a simple thing, for the glass which encases our own world distorts our view of others and their perspective on life. In essence, we need to clear our minds, and try to understand others to the utmost - not an easy assignment.
But I have faith in you, and I have faith in me. I think we'll all get along, and hopefully understand each other along the way. Yet, most importantly, I know I need to remember to have a good sense of humor, and not to judge others. If I don't understand why someone did something, then remember it's OK not to understand, and try to move forward without judging. One day I may understand, or not. But that's not what matters. What's really important is my personal growth and development, and a large part of that is measured by how I get along with and treat others. So, go the extra mile, be a good friend, do a chesed for a stranger, and never give up!

Yes so, now that I've expounded upon life and shared some of my philosophical views, I wanted to discuss why I wrote what you see above. In essence, I wrote it because I made a comment on a friend's blog in innocence and good humor, and someone seems to have taken in completely the wrong way. So the first thought that went through my mind was, this person has no sense of humor. Then I realised that maybe it was too personal a comment to put on a friend's blog in public, where other people don't understand our relationship, and might misread the comment. Ahhh... Now there's something to think about.
Anyways, the bottom line: Don't judge others and be careful what you post on friends blogs. ;D

So Sad... UPDATE

On a different note, so OK, I'm fickle... I've decided that I'm enjoying my new blog set up, and it's not so bad. I mean, there's really nothing wrong with a little color, and the layout looks pretty nice. (feedback welcome) Besides, change is good every once in a while. This is a new time in my life! I mean, I may actually graduate college soon. Therefore, the time has come! My blog shall remain in it's present state for now. *Crowds cheer in the background* Now! Off to do more homework I go. Forward child to the bloody battle of book hill.
(Ouch!) A little dramatic, and yet, why am I synchronizing my watch, concocting a battle plan, and hastily eating rations all in preparation for studying? Hmm... we shall ponder the meaning of life and homework some other time.

Well, for years I've had a layout and look to my blog that I really, really, liked- and today, I made the mistake of trying out new templates. And, while this looks just fine, I miss my old layout. :( For some reason I can't recapture the old look of my blog, so now I'm using the template called tic-tac. Don't ask. ^.-
Anyways, I'm half asleep, I just wasted over an hour of possible study time on this (shame on me!), and depressingly enough, I have another 2 hours and 15 minutes of class left, which starts in 20 minutes. So tired... "BUT! - There are no cats in America ant the streets are paved with cheese..." (We'll talk later once I've returned from "my happy place")

Ta da!!! Yes, I know, it's very impressive that I am actually updating this thing. Well, since I actually have someone's attention out here, I decided to inform you of something I've found extremely disturbing.
Equus. Have you heard about it? G-d willing you haven't, but what it is, is a play staring Dan Radcliffe, the star of the Harry Potter movies, wherein the abovementioned star runs around the stage unclothed in certain scenes. Needless to say I found this greatly disturbing for many reasons. However, what really set me off was when I accidentally stumbled upon the promotional images. [I don't suggest any nice Bas Yisrael's go searching for these things, but if someone else finds this blog and has fewer inhibitions, feel free to check them out here. Clicking on this link will bring you to a "clean" link with a story and then another link to the pictures.]
Well, aside from the story I read regarding the pictures being completely ridiculous, and I quote,
"Thea Sharrock, director..., said: "Oh My God" when she saw
Radcliffe undress for the photoshoot in a hangar near Heathrow..." (original article)
Furthermore, I found a website where women, full grown women, were going crazy over the pictures. Here is the comment I tried to post to the website.

elsewhere. I found these pictures greatly disturbing and I don't think
it's a wonderful thing that at the age of 17, Daniel feels the need to let it all
